Web domains

A domain is a different concept from hosting. The domain points to the server where your site is hosted. In order to make your website information available, you need to have a domain and hosting. Names for .com domains are harder to come by, as the registry is considered a domain extension with global demand. For .pt domains, local addresses are considered, i.e. national in scope. If your business is going to be in Portugal, we advise you to opt for a .pt domain. When registering a .pt domain, we advise you to check whether the same .com domain is also available for registration. If this is the case, you should register the .com domain extension and redirect it to .pt (our team will help you with this). This will protect your business internationally and allow you to expand in the future.
